Responsible for verification and approval for all applications. Processes Invoices received from schools to be paid. Ensures School Food Service adheres to USDA Guidelines. Assists schools with all student transfers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs clerical duties associated with office activities such as typing, preparing copies, answering telephone, distributes mail. Maintains download of Direct Certification Reports as needed via State Department Website, keeping up to date with USDA Guidelines. Keys in meal applications, includes daily import of applications from Lunch Application.com. Ensures applications are completed correctly and processed in a timely manner to ensure proper benefits are received. Maintains delivery of meal benefits. Updates meal applications throughout the school year as needed. Transfer students per manager request to and from appropriate schools. Ensures student balances are correct. Updates school choice student transfers at beginning of school term. Complies with parent and manager requests for student accounts. Handles requests for student approval letters as needed. Uses Power School Program to update student/household information as needed. Assumes responsibility for confidentiality/disclosure of eligibility information. Secures files of applications with confidential information. Maintains three years plus current year of applications on file. Updates waiver of confidentiality in computer. Assumes responsibility for state audit and verifies yearly income to ensure compliance. Keeps current list of homeless students in district, ensures meal charges are correct, and benefit is received within McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. Assists Federal Programs with student qualifications for Federal Assistance Programs and updates yearly migrant list Processes invoices received from schools and submits invoices to be paid. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the School Food Service Director. JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of Two Years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform job.
